Cruelty Free Skincare Swaps
Last year, I focused on greatly minimizing my skincare routine (see my morning routine here and nighttime routine here). My skin was a dry mess due to some health issues at the time so my focus was solely on healing. Fast forward to 2020 and my skin is so much better and I seem to have found a system that works. However, on my ongoing quest to make small changes that support a healthier planet, I’ve decided to focus on spending my money on more cruelty free products. (FYI: Cruelty Free Kitty is my go to site on finding brands that that are cruelty free.)
These are the three big swaps I’ve made this year:
– Origins oil cleanser to Farmacy oil cleansing balm: I’m loving this balm right now and a little goes a long way — I can see this lasting a very long time (which is an eco-friendly win for me!)
– Caudalie serum to Krave serum: I’m always in need of something to keep my skin barrier healthy and this fits the bill!
– Avene SPF to Krave SPF: I’ll be testing this more in the coming months with the sun out again but, so far, it’s promising! We’ll see how it does once the 105 degree weather hits and I become a sweaty mess.
