My Favorite TerraCycle Programs

I love TerraCycle’s free recycling programs. It allows me to recycle items that otherwise would end up in the landfill. This doesn’t mean that I purposely pick a packaged item over a bulk one in order to TerraCycle it BUT it is exceedingly useful for those items that I don’t have much of an alternative for. TerraCycle also has paid programs (where you pay for a box to fill up with various items and then ship back to them to recycle) but I’ve had great experiences with the free programs. New Zealand Travel Guide (with LOTR stops!)

I am a massive Lord of the Rings fan AND a travel lover… so, of course, New Zealand was a bucket list trip for me. This February, my husband and I took a 10 day trip to New Zealand so I wanted to share some highlights (with some LOTR stops included) in case it would be of assistance to anyone!

Dealing with Sentimental Items

When it comes to purging your home, dealing with sentimental items can be the toughest. We hold on to items as a way of holding on to a memory or a person… when really, the memory is within us. And, yes, sometimes it’s nice to have a tangible item to remind us of something or someone but there are ways to keep stuff that are truly wanted, store stuff in a less obtrusive way, and purge items gracefully. So let’s break it down by the most common sentimental items people collect.
